Training

Currently, our training sessions are on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. There are various sessions available which are suitable for all abilities.

After canvassing the opinions of runners and, following a meeting of our run leaders, it has been decided to change our training evenings to Tuesday and Thursday. The main reasons for this change are,

  • as many of us do a long run on Sunday, Monday is seen as a rest day

  • Tuesday and Thursday will give us the opportunity to offer two structured, technical sessions each week, which will benefit our training towards marathons and other longer distance races

  • for those who wish to attend the Horley Harriers track sessions, on Thursdays, these will not now follow a harder session on a Wednesday (we will still offer alternatives to the track session on a Thursday)

This change will initially be for a 3 month trial period, starting on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 until the clocks go forward at the end of March. We will then re-evaluate runners opinions to decide whether to continue or revert to Monday/Wednesday.

Our meeting place on Monday evenings is outside the Co-op, 1-2 Tilgate Parade, RH10 5EQ what3words///easy.pardon.sober

On Wednesday evenings we meet at Oriel High School, Maidenbower Lane, Crawley RH10 7XW

Occasionally we meet in other locations, including when we tour the town with our much loved 'Neighbourhoods of Crawley' runs. Any variation of the meeting points will be posted here:

Wednesday 6th December, meet at Crompton Raod, Manor Royal. RH10 9SJ. What3Words///opera.funded.takes

Monday training is normally a social run in groups to suit pace. Wednesday training is usually a technical session - with interval training or a hill session led by one of our qualified run leaders.

Non members are welcome to join for a taster session, just e-mail info@crawleysaintsandsinnersrun.co.uk to let us know you'll be coming along.
