Parkrun Tourism
Every month Clare arranges a trip to a nearby Parkrun. These events are very social and give you the chance to try a different Parkrun venue in the company of fellow Saints and Sinners. There is also the opportunity to car-share to help with transport. We often stop for a coffee and social get together after the run. See below for upcoming visits. These are also posted in our Spond group, where you can tell us you are coming and see who else will be there.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Riddlesdown Parkrun
Saturday 23rd November - 9.00 am
https://www.parkrun.org.uk/riddlesdown/

The Downs are part of the South London Downs National Nature Reserve. Our course is run in an anti-clockwise direction, covering two laps of the flat area to the north of the bridle path which runs between Tithe Pit Shaw Lane and Honister Heights.
It starts in Ibetts Piece and finishes near the Tithe Pit Shaw Entrance to the Downs. Whilst largely flat, Riddlesdown parkrun is a cross-country run and covers a mixed terrain with grass, mud, gravel and stony paths. Runners and spectators are asked to keep strictly to the paths and off of the long grass, in order to avoid disturbing the nesting sites of Skylarks, a protected species of birds resident on Riddlesdown.
